About this place
One appealing feature of the siphon coffee at JOE TALK COFFEE is the option to choose beans from a separate list. The selection includes beans from Kenya, Ethiopia and Colombia, among others, and some varieties are available hot or iced. One visitor who chose Guatemalan beans found the siphon-brewed coffee had a fruit-like aroma. They had been told preparation might take a little while, but reported that it took about 7 minutes in practice. It is a good choice when you have time to slow down and enjoy a cup made with beans selected to your taste.
Baked treats such as canelés and financiers make natural companions for coffee. One visitor enjoyed a financier with siphon coffee, finding it a good match for the cherry aroma lingering in the cup. Another comment praised the canelé’s fragrant, lightly crisp exterior and moist centre, while a different visitor had a rice-flour chunk cookie with a café latte. The rice-flour pound cake is another option; it changes daily, and on one visit the flavour was tropical. That visitor described its texture as light, making it a tempting little treat alongside a coffee.
There is indoor seating as well as a terrace, though one visitor noted that the interior is compact. You can settle in for a while or take your coffee and baked goods to go.
